Angah's Open House

The food was great as usual. New addition to this year's menu was the Tiramisu. Damn that was one of the best tiramisu I've ever had! It kicked Solitude's tiramisu's ass!

Same old, same old..

First feast di rumah.
Second feast di rumah Nini Kapok.
Then beraya to all the houses in Kapok.
Sort of.





Then we're off to Labuan!
And while waiting to board the kapal...

Dinner time!
This year, since member makin banyak, Bungsu set two tables in the kitchen.



Then it's shower time.
But it's one hell of a que..
So we waited..

And waited again..



and speak of the devil, High School Musical was on Disney that time!
So we started to sing along~



By the time it was my turn to use the bathroom, it's already 10pm!

After that angkat tilam and Me, Melissa, and Yani slept in Bungsu's room.

Abang Nik and Kaka Titie along with the babies just got off the plane back to KL. So yeah, the house is sunyi again.

And Abang Adie and Ka Irlen (with their babies too) are not staying over tonight.

Yup, the house is practically empty.

I so miss the kids..

Later at night, Bapa, Babu and I went to Bapa's friends' open house.
Makan KAMBING!
Awu eh.. Asal arah urang open house, kambing saja ada.
Not that I'm complaining.

What I don't get is:
Kenapa urang makan daging sapi and kerbau.. tapi inda makan daging kambing?
Like, what's the difference kan?
Kambing lagi nyaman lagipun.

So anyway, I was at the open house kan. Babu was talking to her friend and I was busy munching food when out of no where, Babu's friend started to look at me and said to Babu, "Bisai anakmu ani ah. Kalau jadikan mentua suka ku ni".

Me and Babu's friend's son (who was at the same table) exchanged glances.

Ok, I was too busy to update this blog.
Um, more like I'm too lazy to plug in the socket and switch on the computer, since I've disconnected them last week cause I was cleaning my room that time.

Now?
I'm using my brother's lappy since it's ampai-ampai and still running.

So.
I just got home.
And I'm still in my baju raya.
I'm practically bloated.
Cause I ate a hell lot of Lasagna, Tiramisu, Lamb, Spaghetti, Rendangs, Nasi, Kambing, Udang, Ayam..

I'll stop. Is drool coming out of your mouth now?

I've got a lot of pictures, and videos to post.
So I guess I'll do that in my next post.
Which is going to take time cause I'm kinda busy with the exams.

Speaking of exams..
I just had my Physics practical yesterday.
It was ok I guess.
Except for the part where I kinda forgot to convert miliampere to ampere.
Fuck.
Whatever.

Damn, that kid grows like a pea plant.
Not that I know pea plants grows fast though.

So, what I did today?
Lots and lots of cleaning.
I did the vacuuming, the rearranging the furnitures, the cleaning-the-rabbits..

Ah.
The cleaning-the-rabbits part was NASTY.
I was practically sitting in their shits for 30 minutes!
Unpleasant smell, yes.

We also went table hunting today.
So we drove to Courts.
Datang sana LANGIS bah.
Tinggal habuk ganya sana atu.
Kalau membawa kanak-kanak kesana memang dorang suka tu.
Pasal puas belari-lari.

We went to places sewaktu dengannya, and sama jua kes nya.
So we gave up.

The last resort was the kadai funiture just right down the hill of our house.
You know that place close to my house?
Awu bah yang biru warnanya atu..
Ahh.. Iatah tejumpa kami meja bisai.
Bagus urang atu inda ya mau mbagi tau berapa harganya.
Ia cakap (in his Indon slang I might add),
"Nanti runding dengan bapak. Mungkin bisa potong dari sewa kedai"
Cardik urangnya ani.

After that we went to the stadium.
But our favorite Apam Balik place wasn't there.
Nyeh.

Ok. So, I went to Stadium this afternoon.
Like every other afternoon.
But this time I went there with Bapa.
And yeah, there was always one of this many friends that we bumped into.

Anyway, we went to my favourite Roti John stand.
No surprise that the owner was Bapa's long lost friend.
So they started "berjejak kasih" talking about football while waiting for the Roti John.
Here's how the conversation went:

Bapa's friend: Eh, tagap masih badan ani *tapping Bapa's shoulders*. Bulih lagi main bula ni.
Bapa: Eh, inda eh. Ada jua kadang-kadang datang sakit-sakit atu.
Bapa's friend: Eh, ko ani. *turns to me* Bulih lagi kan bapamu ani main?
Me: *acting as if I don't know what they're talking about* Huh?
Bapa's friend: Dulu bagus ni Bapa mu ah. Handal ni kalau nya jadi keeper kami, selalu manang.
Bapa: *muka kambang*
Me: *snorts*
Bapa's friend: *muka serious* Sepatutnya dorang ada memulakan pasukan bula untuk veteran bah. Untuk urang macam ketani ani..
Me: *ketawa kikih-kikih*

If you were there in 5R this morning, then you musta've heard me screaming in agony.

My calculator isn't working.
I've changed the batteries not more than two months ago.
And it's still not working.

Good Lord!
I NEED a calculator for tomorrow's Bio practical exam!

I guess that the Goddess of Calculators has something against me.
I haven't had a decent calculator in years!
Ada saja perangainya.
Like last two years, rusak.
Then bali baru, kana curi.
Bali lagi baru, rusak tia lagi.

So now dad's bringing me calculator shopping.
This better be the LAST calculator that I'm going to purchase.
I'm sick of dealing with fractured items.

~think happy thoughts~ Possibilities of what will come out in tomorrow's Bio practical

1. Leaf. Majority of people (from other schools too) have a feeling that this will come out.
2. And I reckon that there's gonna be a histogram involve.
3. Which means that we're going to be measuring the lengths/widths of some sort of specimens (in this case i think it'll be leaves).
4. I'm sure that Kiwi, Tomato, Carrots and Potatoes are not going to be tomorrows' specimens since there's still a whole box of them in Supa Save and Hua Ho.
5. I have a feeling that eggs will be the specimen. Since Supa Save and Hua Ho are out of them.
6. So I'm thinking.. food test maybe? Protein?? Biuret reagent people! Blue to purple!
7. But then, when I was walking to the car, I saw this lady loading 4 trays of eggs into her car. Darn! No wonder they're out of eggs. It's the Raya season! They need eggs to make cakes! Like, duhh..
8. Hydrogen Peroxide experiments are so out of the list. 'Cause Ms. NorChua said so.
9. Wafi insists that Dragon fruit will come out.
10. Jeez Wafi. Mengapa inda Durian?! Inda alang2 payah melukis.

That's all I can think of.

Right.
A quicky update before I go back to my revising.
My Bio practical is on Tuesday.
Nyeh.

Ah, yes.
The television is officially broken.
There's totally nothing on the screen when you switch it on.
Blank.
Zip.
Nada.
Not even static.
Just a dull, black rectangle.

The sound is still there though.
So I was basically listening Oprah this afternoon.

This is when Bapa came in to save the day!
He sent the tevelision for repair.
And for the mean time, he place another television set there.
But instead of placing a decent-sized screen, he put the smallest tv he could find.

Jeez Pa.
There's like three other television in the house that he could put there, tapi mau jua yang paling damit kan.
But at least it's better than to just listen to what you're suppose to be watching, right?


Anyhoos, since Nini is at my place, Babu wanted to learn how to make Kueh Lidah (or whatever they call it) tapi inda menjadi.
*evil laugh*

So then, Nini made karipap instead.
And dengan bangganya aku kan bagitau that I helped!
hehee..
But, I tend to have this putting-too-much-inti-in-it-that-the-karipap-looks-bloated syndrome, and Nini was like "eehh jangan banyak banyak lai. rugi tia"

What I don't get is; how can we be rugi when when you eat it, you'll have a mouthful full of ubis and dangings?

Explain.. Anybody?

Then we ran out of inti, and there's still some dough just enough for one more karipap. So I was like, cemana ni ah? Kan tanya my Nini, she was busy watching Hikmah on Astro. I thought of putting in some Nutella, but Ka Irlen said leaking karang. Then my amah came in with a dish full of ikan goreng....

*bing* Idea forming~
Lets put some ikan goreng in it.

So there we go.
A karipap inti ikan goreng.

Turns out nice.
We should make more of those.

Mind me, its my first crab dish in MONTHS!
Too bad Bapa and K-Nah wasn't there. Haha! RUGI! Mengapa tah sungkai di kadai? Inda pedah-pedah. Abis saja duit. Lagi nyaman katam. Boo youuuu~

On the bright side, at least me and Babu got the whole lot to ourselves

But I only had 2-and-a-half saja since I ate a lot of stuffs for sungkai.

Ahh.. What a way to break the fast...

oh oh, and I have just mastered the art of cracking-the-shell-off-using-a-nutcracker-and-still-the-meat-is-in-perfect-condition!
Heck! This is a BIG thing for the entire family. Cause instead of peeling the shell off myself, I tend to ask other member of the family since I'm so bad at it.

So Babu was so proud of me.
But it's so sad Bapa wasn't there to witness this historical event.

Not too long ago, a friend of mine was telling me that her little 5 year old cousin was playing with matches, and set his closet on fire, which burn all of his clothes. But at least the adults were aware of this before the fire spreads to the entire house.
